Workplace Fund-raisers Benefit Women's Health

UPMC's Revenue Cycle Department recently presented a donation of $2,300 to Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation, proceeds from fund-raisers the department held this past fall.
In October, the department raffled off various prize baskets, including Steelers items, car products, and gas gift cards. In November, employees prepared homemade recipes and sold their wares at lunchtime. The tasty treats were featured in a potluck lunch, bake sale, and soup sale.
The fund-raisers were so successful that Revenue Cycle also was able to make a donation to Family House. The Magee donation will benefit the hospital's breast cancer research and palliative care programs.
