Value of Urodynamic Evaluation (VALUE) (in the surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence) Study

Principal Investigator: Halina Zyczynski, MD

PARTICIPATION:

Participants will complete questionnaires and will be randomized to receive urodynamic study evaluation or not. This evaluation involves a visit to Magee. The testing is currently indicated in the evaluation of urinary incontinence and will be billed to insurance, as will other visits related to the evaluation and treatment of urinary incontinence.

DESCRIPTION:

Women who are planning surgery for stress urinary incontinence can enroll into this study. They will be randomized to receive either a urodynamic study evaluation or not. They will complete questionnaires before their surgery, and then again 6 months after their surgery. The investigators will determine whether the information gained from the urodynamic studies prior to surgery effects surgical outcomes.

You could receive up to $125 for participating in this study.
